Bartonella henselae is a fastidious and slow growing gram negative bacterium causing cat scratch disease (CSD) in immunocompetent patients or bacillary angiomatosis in immunosuppressed patients. This zoonotic pathogen is distributed worldwide. The NovaLisa® Bartonella ELISA is a new assay for the qualitative determination of specific antibodies against Bartonella in human serum or plasma (heparin).
